Each of Morrow County’s sixteen townships is governed by three elected trustees and an elected fiscal officer, all serving four-year terms. Although township officials serve part-time, they carry significant responsibilities and are committed to serving their communities with integrity, accountability, and transparency.
Township government is the grassroots level of public service—local people making local decisions. As the elected officers of the Morrow County Township Association, it is our privilege to support township officials, to encourage collaboration among local governments, and to serve as a connection between township leadership and the citizens of Morrow County.
Anyone interested in local township government is invited to join as an Associate Member of MCTA. Dues are $20.00 per year and should be sent to PO Box 417, Mount Gilead.
Meetings are held quarterly for members and spouses in various locations in the county. Programs include speakers with knowledge to aid officials in performing their duties, candidates running for local offices, and legislative updates. Door prizes are drawn at the end of each meeting.
MCTA is associated with the Ohio Township Association (OTA). Learn more at www.ohiotownships.org.
