Roads & Zoning

ROAD MAINTENANCE

Road maintenance in Morrow County is shared among different levels of government:

  • State Roads are maintained by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) – Contact 419-946-2921
  • County Roads (376 miles) are maintained by the Morrow County Engineer’s Office – Contact 419-946-4941
  • Township Roads (333 miles) are maintained by individual townships through their elected trustees – See Pages 6-11 for individual townships.

Each agency is responsible for maintenance, repairs, resurfacing, and winter services of roads under their jurisdiction.

ZONING IN MORROW COUNTY

Thirteen of sixteen townships in Morrow County have issued zoning regulations. Those townships that follow the County’s Zoning Plan are covered by the Morrow County Zoning Office. Those townships who adopted their own Zoning Regulations have their own zoning inspectors. Franklin, Perry, and Peru Townships currently have no zoning regulations. Furthermore, the established seven villages of Morrow County have their own zoning regulations as well.

Before you begin a project, it is best to determine the regulations that may apply to that property.
